What Makes a Warrior?

tattooedreverie

The dragon roars

As the sword plunges deep.

But it does not feel rage

As the weapon pierces.

The roaring dragon,

Unmoving and powerful

Feels only regret

At the weakness it possessed.

And as the “hero”

Claims the head of the beast;

Time marches on

Unaffected by all.

  • Comment from author about the poem: A win or a loss, how you let it affect you is what is important. Whether internal or external, a fight has both a winner and loser, and it is up to you to let that define your next path. Know that no matter the result, it doesn't affect most, for good or for worse. In life, you are but you and you alone. This poem does not have a specified color.
