Alongside Theirs

Rohan Regi

Witnessing their love for you

Your blitheness with them

Makes me ponder

If I could ever bring you such joy

And never take away what you have

Just know there was one

Who dreamt of a life

Living in love together

If possible, take my love

Yet alongside theirs.

For seeing your delight,

However it may come

Fills my heart with gladness

What matters is you feel loved

Not necessarily the love I once dreamed

But love nonetheless,

And for that reason alone

I send you mine alongside theirs
