Diagnosary

Chris J Beare

Today my Diagnosary
Five Years since I was told
I had Peritoneal Mesothelioma
And it had taken hold

Difficult to diagnose
Three months as I recall
What a shock to be told
And not foreseen at all

Expect a life of two years
Get your affairs up to date
Tick off your bucket list
No time to sit and wait

I’ve been lucky to get treatment
Some trials along the way
Prayers and thoughts from kin & friends
See me where I am today

To all my medical teams
I shout Hooray - three cheers
Thank you to each and all of you
For these special extra years
