I wouldn't have left

chandana priyas

It was pre summer,

I dreamt to leave the spot

It was a bummer;

When I tried to leave the slot

I roamed the corridors for hours and

I had no deal of entertaining my girls,

Then you came around like a dead end

Now, I want to stay here until time growls

I wonder if I could have known your name,

If I'd have captured your image,

It wouldn't have been so lame

My heart regrets for incapable of knowing you.

    My comments on the poem "I wouldn’t have left” by Chandana Ocean
    Unfortunately, your body can go anywhere, but your thoughts remain… It is difficult to get rid of mental pictures or mental experiences. They come back at any time. Having said this, you must still live your life. So, yes, you have to move forward. See the sonnet by Felix Arvers “Mon ame a son secret, ma vie a son mystere…” It is a unique poem, in French. No translation can do it justice. Best wishes. Soman Ragavan. 24 May, 2023. //

      Time and vigour live within you.
      Keep them ever in your mind.
      While you still possess them, search
      What was once lost can find you again
