Civil War

somethingdeep

Dark clouds emerge by the mountains

They seek havoc, they aim to destroy

"Who dares stand in my way"

I hear the clouds say as raindrops fall below

Blinding lights follow, with restless wind

A hit of gust makes the mountains shrink

The howls of the sky cannot  compare

Who cares for some hill in this nightmare

Shadows above let out a menacing laugh

No mountain in sight, only darkness surrounds

And as I search for these piles of rock

I come to realize this war is not againt what I thought

Trees turnes to ashes, the grass is gone

Flowers are weeping, bloodshed's not far

Butterflies in pieces, birds afraid to sing

A mountain can't kneel, yet the world can give in
