My Aquarium

Ray Moonee

I used to adore my aquarium.

Which is full of

Beautiful little colourful fishes.

I used to think their life is beautiful.

Unless I have to experience the same.

This pandemic made me

Experience their life.

Like them I have a adorable home.

And now its become my aquarium.

I rumble in my aquarium

But I can't leave this just like my fishes.

From my aquarium

I can see the world

But irony is

I can't join them.

Like my pisces

I can only watch the cosmos.

Now I know the pain

In there eyes.

My comments on the poem "My aquarium” by Ray Moonee
It is a totally different perspective to look at the whole thing from the eyes of the fish in the aquarium. In the river or the lake or the sea, they are free to roam as they wish. Just like caged birds or animals in the zoo.
The fish look for food at any time and don’t have to wait for someone to feed them. That someone might forget sometimes or be late… Please see my poem “The caged bird” on this site. Soman Ragavan. 26 May 2023. //
