The more bad news I get the worse it gets
My brain unsure of how much more I can take
One more inconvenience and I'll be done for sure
The world is sending me over the edge
There's problems everywhere I got
Everything I do and everyone I know
If I hear one more person, complain I'll lose it
I'm going to send myself over the edge
I'm skipping meals again here and there
I no longer care enough to cook anything
Cereal for dinner as the first meal again
My stomach is going to send me over the edge
My mind is whirling and loud
I'm not sure how much more I can take
Don't let me write a new note for them
To be found after I'm over the edge
My life has become a huge mess
Day by day and week by week it gets worse
How much longer can I keep this up
Please just let me over the edge
I think of you and the others
The cats see my tears and cuddle
I have few things keeping me here
Would you be upset if I went over the edge
I stare blankly at the world in front of me
I can't take this stress or the pressure
I hear my stomach growl again today
Just let me go over the edge
Your name pops up on my phone
The water on the stove begins to boil
The cats rub against my ankles
Maybe I shouldn't go over the edge
I scroll through pictures and texts
Of the cats, friends, you, and work
There's a longing in my heart as I debate
Would anyone care if I went over the edge
May my words not be used against me
My body pains as well as my mind
I wonder if some sleep will help me survive
I shouldn't go over the edge yet
As I stare at the TV, remote in hand
Wrapped up in a very soft blanket
I take some deep breaths
I won't go over the edge today
Tomorrow is another story
And yet another disaster awaiting
I rest my head down on the pillow and sigh
Maybe tomorrow I'll go over the edge
