My Desert Rose

Ray Moonee

In scorching heat

Where my cherished flowers

Are fading.

You are blooming like a warrior

Who defend his people

Like a lethal hero.

You are shielding

My faith by standing upright

With your gems.

Who's fuchsia

Is giving me hopes

Because its boldly standing

In my lawn

And shattering

Its liveliness among the dying souls.

Like a cold breeze

Is penetrating in a hot desert.

Oh my desert rose

You are furnishing my lawn

With your cheerful presence.

Giving us desire to bloom

Even in this scorching heat.
