Sage

PaperFlowerFields

I can't help but to notice that
you chose black and white
In a world where it's all wrong
And that's alright

Each and every step forward
Every choice that you make
A split apart across the universe
As timelines they do break

I've been leaving copies of myself
Across paradox space
Each and every one of us
Aware of the parallels that we trace

There are robots, shadows, dragons,

Demons, kitties, and some clowns
Each of us aware enough
To paint over our frowns

Timelines they do splinter off

And cause universal cracks

And so we do as we must

Keeping them on track

There's so many of us now

Some are bad and some are good

But it's never that simple still

Most are misunderstood

Not all of us have power to

Ensure we make our paths

And those who don't often fall

Into perilous wraths

Facts are hard to manage

When you have so many strings

Each of them leading you

Through so many more rings

Copies upon copies mocking

Each line that must be towed

All of their universes

Baring different loads

Still we toil and we fight

Upon each and every stage

Because this is the only

Fate for a sage
