Datura

Introverted Sage

If you lived in a cave
Way up in the hills
Would you have
Top amenities
All of the frills
Or bookshelves filled
from the beginning of time
Learning all you can
I certainly wouldn't mind
Curtains of silk
to rub 'cross your skin
Never venturing out,
egos rescind.
Orbs of past selves
lighting the way.
Begin to realize
tricks the mind plays.
Labyrinth without
Labyrinth within.
How deep will you go
to find what's hidden
Unlocking new levels
Spiral Up go back Down
Sometimes the maze
leads underground
Hidden gems
revelations akin
Dig too deep
lose more 'friends'
Days fly forward
Time sets back
Complete a lesson
Stay on track
Cyclical cyclical
patterns at play
Synthesize the melody
don't float away
Seeing a glimmer
Opening in the dark
Finding your way
right back to the start.

Living in a cave, way up in the hills sounds good to me.
