Death By Haiku

gramann001

Spring breeze enters through my curtains

but does not move my pen

the search for syllables remains uncertain

Summer sun warms my hand

still offers no motivation

these elusive syllables be damned

Fall chill seeps through the cracks

but my mind resists its brace

syllables still evade as time elapses

Winter rages at the window by my bed

my fingers stiffen at this last effort

I curse the syllables and lay down my head
