Summer’s Magical Spell

Serene

It’s a clear summer afternoon,
I strolled towards window to close it, assuming heat waves could enter the room.
As I gazed through the window, a refreshing breeze kissed my cheek,
I was perplexed, and questioned nature’s freak.

While doubting the season,
The cool air, which indeed brought a reason,
For me to step out and roam,
And realize that the summer breeze wasn't hot, but was cool as my poem.

The sun resembled a golden-ripened mango,
Veiled in cotton candy clouds with flamingos' glow.
Its rays wore a yellow hue, like a pathway to paradise.
The wind carried a sweet fragrance, caressing my skin precise.

For a while, the world seemed out of phase,
Transported to a realm of Ethereal grace.
And to celestial lands unknown,
This day, in my memories, will be forever sown.
