Beneath a veil of mystery,
Lies a heart that beats for thee,
But though my love burns bright and true,
I hide my feelings deep from view.

My thoughts, my dreams, my hopes, my fears,
All locked away, no chance of tears,
For fear that if I let them show,
You'll turn and leave, and I'll let go.

But though I keep my heart concealed,
My love for you will not be sealed,
For in my actions, in my gaze,
My love for you shines like rays.

So though my words may not reveal,
The passion that I truly feel,
My heart beats strong, a steady drum,
That calls out to you, my only one.
