cascading water falls..

NafisaSB

Cascading water falls

Over sheer granite walls

The enfolding row of trees

Sway gently in the breeze

The droplets pause a moment

Humming with delight

Before they madly leap down

In a deafening, noisy flight

The river foams with anger

And roars with majestic might

Its waves of rising temper

Put hovering birds to flight

The fishes in the river

Eyes aglaze with fear

Dart away in speed

To hide among the reeds

The pretty scenic sight

Fills me with great delight

I throw my sorrow away

My heart is now light.

    cascading water fall

My comments on the poem "Cascading water fall” by NafisaSB
Your poetic eye has caught things happening in the waterfall :
--the water falls gently at first; --the droplets pause; --they drop madly, making noise; --the river foams and roars; --the waves rise with power; --the birds take flight; --the fishes scamper away from the pressure caused by the falling water.
We should point out that the falling water helps the water to oxygenate, which is good for the fish.
Regarding rivers, we can note the following :
The river flows on, going downhill, gathering speed and power; it can move rocks, break its banks, pull along nearby trees; it makes noise; it is mostly unsalty, but turns salty when it reaches the sea; when the river reaches the sea, it becomes the sea. All the noises and ravages it makes along the way end when it enters the sea. It enters the sea quietly. Its reign ends when it meets the sea.
The sun turns some sea water to moisture, that rise to form clouds; the clouds give place to rain at some places and snow at other places. Rain water turns into rivers; snow melts and flows downhill too. Rivers run downhill (through gravity) to reach the ocean. When river water reaches the sea, the wheel has turned full circle : the water returns to where it started…
Still, poets can write much about the beauty and workings of the river. Soman Ragavan. 4 June, 2023. //
