Unbreak my heart

Kathryn Amaka

Unbreak my heart, that's all I ask,
for love we had, was like a flask.
Filled with memories, moments we shared, but now it's gone, and I'm so scared.

You promised me a forever together,
but now I see, it was all just a tether,
that held me back, from moving on
from this pain that's lasted so long.

Unbreak my heart, set me free
from this love that was meant to be.
But now it's over, it's time to move on
to a new day, and a better dawn.

I'll cherish the moments we had,
and hold them close, when I'm feeling sad. But it's time to say goodbye, and start anew, and let go of this love that was once true.

So unbreak my heart, and set me free,
to find a love that's meant to be.
I'll always remember the love we shared, but it's time to move on, and show I dared.

    Wow!!!

So, Joe Cocker once said "unchained my heart" . This piece runs along the same vein.... Don't know why I haven't been here before. I have a feeling I shall be revisiting... So much love disclosure in this one. An impressive write. 🙏🏼
