A dream of sleepless wonder

Donnalinx

In the darkness safe and true
trapped in the shadows
below the thick mountain dew
the sparks of lighting ran through the cloud
with the tremmers of clashing giants being so loud
my eyes shuttered; watching as they fought
sinking into the mattress so that I won't get caught
drifting away to something so unreal
something even more enchanting and surreal
A honey-dewed glaze covered my eyes
and the thrashing of the giants was lead to its demise
sleeping as if I were on that very cloud sleeping
I closed my eyes and spoke aloud
asking for the night to never end
and for the mountain dew to cover every corner and bend
the giants stopped to watch my slumber
the lighting yielded and so did  the thunder
or was it just a dream of sleepless wonder?
