Down by the sea
There was you, there was me
We both were uncertain,
what was going to be
It's true that I left you,
all alone for a while
But absorbing the scene,
was making you smile
Down by the sea,
I wanted romance
But your heart was still broken
- so there wasn't much chance
Your lovely pink dress,
was a comfort to me
Kind ladies in pink,
I so love to see
Down by the sea,
we walked hand in hand
- your heart slowly melting,
as our feet touched the sand
I loved how you touched me,
gently on the shoulder
As we traveled back home
- perhaps accepting I'm much
older
Down by the sea,
there was my 'little' boy too
You showed him warm heart
- he could feel it. He knew
Three special spirits,
travelled that day,
to see the great ocean
- no need to pay
The ocean if free,
for all to observe
But she sees more deeply
I've often observed
Down by the sea,
seeds were being sewn,
of love so fantastic
In each other we've found home 🏠
