Slipping Away

Meg

Kiss your forehead

For one last time

Take a chance to remember

The good and bad

All memories now consigned to the past

Slipping away

Right in front of us

No pause button in sight

Just a deterioration of how you once were

An eerie calm falls over the ward

Like you are just sleeping

Not a care in the world

In your own wee world

At this moment in time, it seems a beautiful place to be

Slipping away

Slipping away

Slipping aw...!

There is a peaceful beauty to it all
