Tune: Old Hundredth
('Praise God from whom all blessings flow'
='All people that on earth do dwell')
Psalm 7 v.9-17
********
O that the wicked's ways would cease
And that men give a chance for peace
But establish the just, O Lord
They that live following your word
For the righteous God tries the hearts
And the reins, consciences, all parts
My defence is of God, who sure
Saves the upright in heart e'ermore
God judges the righteous, and He
Is angry with the wicked, see
Every day, if He does not turn
From them then His anger will burn
He will prepare His sword, His bow
And even death enemies know
He makes fiery arrows, them shoots
The persecutors He uproots
They work with iniquity, they
Conceive mischief, trouble, each day
And bring forth falsehood, make a pit
They dig it and fall into it
Their mischief shall to them return
On their own heads, so shall they learn
Their violent dealings they shall sense
The Lord God shall them recompence
I will praise the Lord, he righteous
Bringing salvation unto us
And will sing praise to the Lord He
Most high, and everlasting be

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.8.8.8. Not the usual tune to the hymn in the clip. Fido helped write this one, as there are 'persecutions' towards animals as well as to humans.
