The Inner Spirit (Smaller Circle)

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Trying to be nice in a world full of lies
You were bragging about material things
Maybe that opened my eyes
Not all mates are meant to last
Hadn't seen you for about a year
Became a person from my past
The guilt tripping won't work on me
I know you had problems too
But where was the honesty?
My circle goes smaller once again
Helps to get emotion out with the pen
Just know that your gut feeling
Tells you what's not always appealing
You have to go with it
It's the inner spirit
