The Dream By Richard Martin

Richard Martin

The Dream                           by Richard Martin             C                      139

I see your face here before me,  I feel your lips pressed to mine

I see you laying here beside me, I hear you whisper that you’re mine

You look so lovely here beside me, your brown eyes and golden hair

Oh Lord just let me go on dreaming, for only in my dream is she there

No one can take this dream from me, no one knows how much I care

But I’d rather die in my sleep Lord, than wake and find she’s not there
