My Embrace (+1)

Kurt Philip Behm

Rearranging discordant thoughts

memories fall in place

Like keys upon a Steinway

awaiting my embrace

Sharp notes lead, the flats behind

as I replay the past

Chords when struck connecting all

—in harmonies recast

(Dreamsleep: June, 2023)

Timor Negavit

The death of tomorrow

rebirthed in stone

Its sculptor blinded

by fear unknown

The future vacant

the past denied

Where carved in darkness

—an image cries

Music in reliving our memories: enjoyed the musical and piano references, it sounds like you actually play the piano. I just took a big risk this morning and published an older piece of hip hop: please enjoy if you visit the Midlife Rap

Thanks so much. I don't play the piano but have always
    wished I did.

    What is the Midlife Rap?

    Kurt
