Repairs

I’ve been broken,

Yet repairs are on their way,

Though materials are costly,

I’ll mend one room at a time,

Nail by nail, board by board,

I’ll build myself anew,

Sweeping and patching up,

All the broken pieces,

Starting from within,

Soon I’ll work my way out,

Yes I’ve been broken,

But repairs are underway
