Learnt Humility

Isa

I went for a competition,

Where I thought there was no strong competitor,

And with pride I blabbed,

And with shame I now hide.

Don't think yourself too good,

Lest you make yourself the fool.

With watery eyes now have I learnt,

What "pride goes before a fall" truly meant.

My ego hurt, my eyes tear shot,

I finally walk a path, the path known for humility.

Thanks for sharing… I don’t think you should lose your confidence… I believe that was what made you the winner before the competition even began
