From the moment my foot stepped through the door
I don't remember anything more
Till the moment the clock struck eight
And I knew it was far too late
Our friends were there
They didn't even stare
You held me down
Although my face held a frown
I was frozen in shock
Just watching the clock
Waiting for it to be done
So I could run

Thank you for sharing, the tone and the imagery of your poem is also bold and genuine, as you are brave to tell your story- I can tell that you are more than any hardship or trauma
Thank you that means a lot to me. I’ve grown to accept what happened but it will always be a part of me. Although maybe now not in a bad way, I can make some beautiful art with my experience and I think as long as I think of it that way I’ll continue to overcome the uphill battle of dealing with it.
Wow
