Reparations for Disparities

I understand there will be some 

fraudulent people who claim 

they too felt pain, maybe you did 

there’s a difference though 

it’s not just about slavery… 

Jim Crow, Mass Incarceration…. 

America’s original sin 

is stacked on top of more sins 

how can they atone for such disgrace? 

I’ll give you the answer 

within the next few lines 

be patient with me

Capitalism is not going anywhere 

so we must use it for our social benefits 

monthly stipends, free healthcare… 

free education, free transportation…

free passports, allow those who suffer 

an ease, we cannot defeat pain..I get it..

cutting a check doesn’t fix problems

creating a system that mitigates

helps creates solutions to fix problems

or we can just look at exceptions

and think well they’ve made it

so it can’t be that bad

fool… you fool…

you believe in heaven and hell

but can’t believe in _________  

do you feel pain in your conscious

healing others may help heal you
