Fillmyeyes

Your hand scooped me up from the rivers edge
where the water ever flowing kept me supple
you laid me upon the wheel, turning slowly
your gentle touch formed me,
shaping my every curve.

lifting me tall, yet allowing me to remain open,
open to all that lay ahead of me
I am a vessel, created by your hand alone
I carry in me, both the love you have given,
as well as the loves you have taken away
I am overflowing, yet never full
whole, yet never complete
I am content, but always
searching

You have created me, with open heart
drawing in the loves, love of self;
love of life and love of another.
open, to embrace the world,
and all it offers
to be accepting,
understanding and
compassionate.
to sing your praises
showing me right from wrong
and have given me
free will to choose

You have surrounded me
with beauty
all I need to do is look,
for it is ever present.

You have painted me
in wondrous colors
fired me in your kiln
giving me strength
and brightness.

You have created all that I am
all that I will ever be,
my only need
to accept.
