The Trap

Thoughtsunleashed

In the realm of love's tangled web, a trap was laid,

A tale of betrayal, where hearts were betrayed.

It started with a chance encounter, oh so bright,

She made me make a presentation, a captivating delight.

Lovely it was, that first meeting's embrace,

But little did I know, it was the start of a chase.

Hours turned to days, conversations so deep,

Calls, video chats, and meetings, memories to keep.

We walked hand in hand, on paths so long,

Hugs and laughter, love's tender song.

She showed concern, asked about my day,

Her happiness for me, words she'd sweetly say.

I felt special in her eyes, my heart ablaze,

Sharing my world, my hopes, my every phase.

But as I finally mustered courage to confess,

She shattered my dreams with words of duress.

"I'm not ready for commitment," she declared,

Reasons scattered, as if she barely cared.

Perhaps someone replaced me, my heart bled,

Or her career's demands held love's thread.

She stumbled, claiming relations with others held sway,

Seventy, forty, no, just ten percent to play.

Proudly she proclaimed, "You're not the first one,"

My heart sank, realizing I had come undone.

Handholding, a cherished symbol of trust,

merely a casual act, to her it was a must.

And with no warning, she vanished, like a wisp,

Leaving me bewildered, longing for her kiss.

Days turned to weeks, as I grappled with despair,

Realizing the truth, the trap she had laid bare.

Now my fervent desire, a mission in my soul,

To save others from the pain, to make her aware and whole.

I implore her to stop the cycle of deception,

To spare innocent hearts, to mend love's perception.

For I've tasted the bitter fruit of her deceit,

And wish to shield others from the same cruel defeat.

In this intricate tapestry of love's heavy toll,

May empathy guide us, nurturing hearts made whole.

Let traps crumble, as we learn to cherish and adore,

And may love's purity reign forevermore.
