If I Were Accepted

Love-Me-Softly

If I were accepted
I'd be delighted
Maybe even excited
I've lived so long being a disappointment
Getting told I'd never gain employment
All because I try my hardest
I really am one of the smartest
Yet that's not enough for her
Oh if I were
Only just accepted
I wish so greatly
That she'll thank me
For all the work I put in
But sadly she only focuses on my sins
If only I were accepted

    sometimes, the only solution
to rid yourself of the toxic people
    in your life, is distance
its rare we can change, them
    so better
to plan our escape, from them
    then, maybe
we'll be lucky enough, to find
    a few like minded friends
and begin, to start seeing our
    true weakness and strengths..
    thanks for sharing, stay strong!
