I Just Came In Here To Say Goodbye        by Richard Martin  D  ¾ 163

You’re as lovely as I’ve ever seen you

And don’t mind me if I start to cry

You look so happy with your new love

I just came in here to say goodbye

You know that I still love you

And it hurts to say goodbye

It hurts so bad inside darling

I just came in here to say goodbye

I hear your wedding day’s tomorrow

And it breaks my heart to say goodbye

I didn’t mean to make you unhappy

I just came in here to say goodbye

I didn’t mean to spoil your party

I didn’t mean to make you cry

You’ll never know how much you hurt me

I just came in here to say goodbye

Yes I know I wasn’t invited

I know I didn’t wear a tie

I’m sorry if I embarrass you

I just came in here to say goodbye

I know I’ve drank too much darling

But the wine helps to dry my eyes

Yes I know that everyone is looking

I just came in here to say goodbye

So goodbye good luck and May God bless you

I wish you well in all you try

I wish things had been different

I just came in here to say goodbye
