Love’s Cruel Weight

iammorell

Letting go is hard to do,
When pain endures and hope falls through.
Drowning in thoughts, no answers found,
Confusion reigns, emotions abound.

Love, the centre of the universe,
Can heal or bleed, for better or worse.
Consumed and drawn to any fate,
Ruin of me, love's cruel weight.

Escape to fiction or watch paint dry,
Neither the easier route to try.
Lost in what I thought I had,
Peace, happiness, and you, gone sad.
