These lines haven’t been observed in years
Yet there’s been tremendous tears
I thought I was done with this
But I’ve fallen back into the abyss
I don’t want to be dead
But seeing the red
Brings so much tranquility
So much stability
When I can control the pain
It keeps me sane
I know it’s bad
But it’s all I have

Those battle scars....sometimes pain is the only thing keeping us alive. And although we "know" or think it's bad, it's a familiar FEELING, something to hold on to. Don't stay there too long though! There's so much more!
