Beyond Blue

flyingfish

Beyond blue of sky,
lies the endless blackness of space,
pin-pricked by stars.

Beyond blue of oceans,
lies the black brown
land of cliffs, mountains and rocks,
fringed by white spray and hissing foam
a warning for land-blubbers seafaring.

Beyond blue of light in the spectrum,
lies the dark end,
with indigo and violet,
the colors of blood in veins
and storm clouds.

Beyond the blues in music
lies the darkness of oppression,
and the hardship and suffering
from the remnants of slavery.
The work, folk and gospel songs
colored by string notes contorted to blue
by heart-felt emotion.

Beyond blue of mood,
lies a dark, foreboding and sinister
place and space.

    what is colour
what spectrum of blue is imbued with mood
so bleak, darkness is birthed in our eyelids
    Plato, tried to define it
    modernity, thinks its all refracted
    particles as aesthetic embroidery
    to a colourless universe
most men are colour blind, to a certain extent
much more than ladies, I wonder
what our dna evolution, is trying to say about us...
    (a great read, thought provoking
    and wonderfully creative
forgive me but I couldn't help n try
to scribble a little poetic reply
thanks for sharing and inspiring me
    dear poet)
