Smokes and Love

Pacifique Niyitanga

A sip with a kiss,

We twos the piece;

The missing peace,

Tar made our bliss;

Fingers slip in bra,

Smokes in the sky;

Rolling wide eyes,

Jerk off, no climax;

Lost in the old lies,

Sex frozen by woe;

A route in a garden,

A house and beans;

Dew on the heads,

Walk till tomorrow;

Drink and smoke it,

With none but tears.

      We don't always need a lot of words. This poem is living testimony to that. Some of the best words a the silent spaces in between.
