Unravelling the Illusion

Jeffrey Weese

The more I seek the more I find,
The pattern speaks the truth aligned.
The more I try the less I do
The less I do the more I view.

Its funny how the system grows,
The more I think the less I know.
Maybe the truth is what it seems
And that is life is just a dream.

They say Ive gone mad,
I say I've gone woke,
they call me a joke from
the words that I've spoke.

But listen close you minds of men,
there's no separation and life's just pretend.
I am an illusion, you speak to yourself,
you beg to awaken but need your own help.

God is not separate the God is within,
awaken your silence and life will begin.

There's a lot of truth in that.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment, 2781. I'm glad you found some truth resonating in my poem. I firmly believe that poetry serves to illuminate the shared human experience, and I'm glad to see that this piece resonated with you in that way.

Thank you so much, Neville. I truly appreciate your warm words of encouragement and the promise of your return. Knowing that my words have reached another soul out there, truly propels me to continue on this journey of ink and introspection. I look forward to sharing more of my thoughts with you in the future.

Thanks, you seem to get the raw emotions that I intended to convey in my poem/lyric I PICKED UP THE PICTURE that I posted on My Poetic Side. Thanks again for your comment. Richard Martin
