I am a Phoenix

PoeticBiscuit

I am a Phoenix,

So burn me.

Add fuel to the fire,

this facade melts,

My inner self shows,

Burns turned to lessons,

Written on my skin,

Kissed by flames.

You think you killed me,

But simply made me anew,

I rise from my ashes,

I am a Phoenix.

"I am a pheonix, so burn me." It's as if this line is a challenge and it reads incredibly powerfully, especially as an opening line. Amazing work darlin 🙂
