Clipboard (An Acrostic)

AuburnScribbler

Captains and foremen, hungrily make their

Lists, of what we’re supposed to do, an

Instruction that will hit, then we sweat, to

Play, to their subpar beat, continuing to make a

Bloody street, they think that success, is good

Obedience, subliminally whipping us into

Abeyance, no such thing as an open forum,

Redo what has been said, for it’s our duty to

Do, not think, before we become the dead.

  • Comment from author about the poem: God, the Pope, the King, the Queen, the President, the Prime Minister, the man, the boss, the big cheese, the manager, the parent, or whatever authoritative title there is, you would have thought, that they would be, in general, good guides, and therefore their suggestions, in general, to be full of wisdom, thus, there will be no problems, in satisfying whatever they have written down on their proverbial clipboards. However, when it comes to certain observations, the general running of the place, consists of infuriating company policies, poor governments and sometimes appalling parenting, thus, it would seem that it's very necessary to question authority. I like making lists, and reading the contents of my poem list on here, pleases me, but most of the time, due to someone else's vision, we can sometimes be satisfying the "wrong" list, a broken agenda, thus yet again, division and dissatisfaction is the order of the day. In my opinion, if anything, even if it is the law, in practice provides an unnecessary level of wanting, it is always questionable, so I implore you, the next time you go into work, and if there's something specific that is nagging you, your colleagues, or just generally bringing the whole workplace down, try and rewrite whatever's written on your boss's clipboard. I hope that you enjoy this acrostic poem, happy re-writing and editing, and as always please do stay safe everyone.

Thanks for the read orchidee, and I'm glad to hear that you have furry little friends as company.

Though, when my sister had pet rodents, hamsters in particular, they did scare the sh*t out of me, as, when I was holding them, their relentless violent shaking, was a great concern!

I hope that all is well.
