A poem a day an oath we lay
To keep ourselves from fading away
This world full of work has no time to spare
For everyone here just wants a bigger share
Foolish we are to think this way
For everyone always had an equal share
Not of that paper but of emotions that flare
And make us feel, live and pair
The poems we read riles us up
It makes us drink an emotionful of cup
So start reading today if lost you are
And make yourself feel the wonders it jars.

And yeah I know there is no word like "Emotionful" but I just felt like there should be one, so I created it? 😝 Hope you enjoy the poem of this newbie and provide some useful insights 😁.

Thank you! I know, it sure is the best way to let go of those hoard of thoughts.
So, I am one to use poetic licence at wanton, gifted one. Recently I wrote a piece and titled it "Creviced" which sounded right to me, till Google advised me no such word exists, and I relented (something I don't always do, especially if the word sounds correct to me) and amended the title. As a poet, I understand "emotionful". I even feel we should strive to understand each other's stretches of expression. Poetry itself is a language. This is a beautifully written piece, and a beautiful reminder, of just what poetry means to us, and the world. Kudos, gifted one.
