Till you’re here, my love

Love-Me-Softly

Whilst I lay here quite cold
I wish upon the stars that you could hold,
Me in your arms ever so tight
Throughout this ice cold night.
Keeping me warm in the dark
Like a fires first spark,
Till we awake in the morning
And see that’s it’s pouring.
So you kiss me gently
And watch me intently,
As I once again, drift off to dreamland
Just as we’ve planned,
For days upon end,
For once you transcend
Beyond the life that you live now,
To one your mother would disallow.
One with me till the bitter end
Since you’ve grown to exceed the word “friend”.
