Notice of absence from Neville
If I get the thumbs up tomorrow from my Doc, I hope to be in Miami on Friday for three days before jumping ship and spending three weeks sailing around South America .. Sheesh, what we do to try n get a touch of inspiration eh' .. Take care while I'm away & please forgive any delay in my going quiet for a while .. What is it With Poetry
Deliberate and oh’ so
very
slow indeed ..
Much like the opening
and the closing
of a palsied hand ..
I remember being told
or reading
somewhere, long ago
that poetry
is now the oldest
language known to man ..
Read and spoken
everywhere, much like
a single
universal tongue ..
Heard, understood, loved
and indeed
then acted on ..
Probing and empowering
telling truths
and likewise lies
then sharing sublime
secrets ..
Taking moments sacred
stored for
posterity and later savoured ..
