Misfortune II

When others don't come to your aid 

when you have no one standing, guarding your backside at every turn 

when you want someone to hear, but nobody listens

when you can no longer rely on the people who relied on you 

when you are the only one that see the straight and narrow

 

That's when you know you are truly alone.

 

Standing there with pieces of yourself nobody wants to help pick up, even though they were the ones to break it and watch it crumble
