Someone like me

If only I was someone like me

then maybe you would see

all of my love and care

the possibility of a future to share

Unfortunately I am myself

which seems not enough itself

should I be more or should I be less

what parts of me should I suppress

And even if I am not the one you want

your other conquests you need not flaunt

My hope is that one day you will see

That I have always been someone like me
