Happy for once

For once I am happy

A new horizon awaits for me

A new path towards my destiny

An opportunity to get me to where I belong 

Where I should have been all along

For once I am happy

After such a long time in grief

I feel anointed with a sense relief

The doubts I had disappeared

My ultimate goal chrystal clear

For once I am happy

Because for once they agree

With what I was meant to be 

What they wanted I rejected

I went to persue the unexpected 

But I can't help but feel

That this can't be real

After everything I did wrong 

Is this where I truly belong

But that doesn't bother me because...
