Unprepared Love

PoeticBiscuit

Nothing can prepare you for love,

The way your life is hijacked,

Your words no longer your own,

Enthralled by this person.

Are you sky diving,

Or just free falling?

A fine line that stands between.

Your mind no longer obeys,

Goes rogue when they’re around,

Your body strung by strings,

A puppet for whoever you desire.

Nothing can ever prepare your for love,

Wrapped in a whirlwind,

Of the perfect melody,

Melancholy kisses,

And blissful pain.

Ah yes, "blissful pain"! Unexpected! Worth it though, isn't?

Love is one of those emotions that is as terrifying as it is rewarding. Beautiful work. 🙂
