Don't Stop Now

If you stop now, then what was the point of all of this in the first place?

Because you can't quit now when you are this close to finishing the race.

Even if it seems like there is no finish line in sight,

If you keep going, eventually you will end up seeing the light.

And when you are able to cross that finish line, it will be the best feeling in the world,

And you will be so thankful that you kept going when you wanted to curl.

And even though it seems like you are constantly fighting the same war,

You have to remember why you started, and what it is that you are fighting for.

And it can be hard to keep going when you know there are a lot of people who want to see you fail,

But they are just upset that you are succeeding when they haven't  even started to explore the trail.

But you have gotten out of it before, and you will be able to do it again,

Because you know it is not a matter of if you reach your goal, but just a matter of when.

And sometimes you feel yourself caving because you don't know how much more of this you can take,

But you realize that you can't quit now, because there is too much at stake.

And you want to believe that you are doing this for you, but there is a reason so much bigger than that,

Because it is up to you to decide to change if you don't like where your life is at.

And sometimes you need to take a break from everything and disappear for a while,

So you can remember who are, and take back control so once again, you can start to smile.

And even though it is scary, you know that is is something that you need to do,

Because you are the only one who knows who you are, and what you have been through.

It may seem like sometimes it is always one step forward, and two steps back,

But you know that with every step you take, you are building on the skills that you thought you lacked.

You have to remind yourself that you have gotten out of this once, and you will continue to do it,

Because you know how to keep standing, even after you get hit.

And as cliche as it sounds, you know there have to be darkness in order for the stars to shine,

And eventually, you will be able to take it all back, and to call it mine.

While you are in the midst of the storm, it can be hard to keep going on,

Especially cause it may feel like all hope is gone.

But with one foot after another, the storm will pass,

And you will be standing there victorious, with the lightening bolt in your grasp.
