Creation Concerns

Tune: St Stephen

('All praise to our redeeming Lord'

= 'In Christ there is not east or west')

Based on St Gregory Nazianzen's 'Hymn to God'

c.329 - 390AD.

*********

All things cry out to you, O Lord

Those which speak give their word

And too those things which cannot speak

Worship you lowly, meek

All things honour you, those which think

And those which eat and drink

And too those things, some which cannot

Think, they praise you, their lot

For there is one longing and one

Groaning, excluding none

That all things have for you, who made

Each one, and them arrayed

All things pray to you that your plan

Do comprehend for man

And offer you silence or song

They join the heavenly throng

In you, the One, all things abide

In you does life reside

And all things do endlessly run

To you, Creator One

You the beginning and the end

You your Creation tend

Appoint for all, a set life-span

May we seek you, we can

Thanks N. Yep, me - 50 quid a go, to hear me sing. They pay to get rid of me, before I finish verse 1! lol.

I find it fascinating that you base your work in hymns and take time to credit the original dates and authors of the work you build from. You're brilliant my friend
