Keep some cash.
What did you say?
With those notes
You can always pay.
Not like that plastic,
They say is fantastic!
The digital hoodoo
Can fail,
Leaving us in deep doodoo.
Cash in your pocket
Will be a blessing
Like today
With
System failure
No one could pay.
Just a small glitch?
But it must be said,
We thought our forefathers mad,
Keeping cash under the bed.

cash and plastic
will soon be museum archaic
we're a generation away
from barcodes on our wrists
and chips, in our minds...
who knows, it may come to us
using cash to wipe out butts
the rate we're demolishing the trees
lol
I so relate, dear poet
Now you're getting prophetic!
Good write 2.
I fainted in a sermon. I was in shock. It said 'Keep enough cash for yourself; bit daft to give it all away, if you have none left afterwards'.
A sermon where the church says KEEP some of your money? A rare occurrence. lol.
Yet there's the widow's mite story.... Hmmm.
Bit more - now the opposite is where some places pass round TWO 'hats' in one service. Or even a bucket - such faith?! Or such greediness?!
Well, it's inflation, they may say. We've moved from offertory plate to bucket now.
Always out to upstage: My old church used to let people take money out of the bag! A risky gamble that paid off.
That's nothing- down here they ask for your credit card details.
Lol that poem strikes so true
Thank you.
Gotta be holding the folding
I believe your prediction to be in the post
interesting
i have always been the friend who has a jar of cash and pockets of coins... i know the feeling of digital stress all too well.
amazing poem darlin
Have been there and done that. It is too bad that cash like gold is going away. Plastic too will disappear. There is to much pressure from governments to control money and its flow to have such things anymore. Too bad.
God help us when the lights go out!
Its so well written. I appreciate it! And its very much true from my side.
I should take my own advice!
Thanks for looking it up and reminding me.
Oh for sure!
