Blue Moon

Readership Blues

I finally have what I want for the moment

I don’t reveal, even through art you just have to read

I am finally sitting down to the stars with doors wide open

Shedding tears of gratitude for having what I don’t need

I am weary of songs with words I heard before

So I gaze in silence as I can’t pray for more

With dreadful shame heavy on my back

I rest my case

There was nothing I did not lack

There was nothing I could not chase

still and all, there was nothing I cried out for

I have a million whispers for the luminous above

About rhapsody and loss and some about love

I seek forgiveness before it’s too late

I had to eat what the wolf served on a tempting plate

Lie to me until the moon becomes blue

As this is my last time with you

You are the worst at fooling my heart

But you are the best thing for my art
