- Comment from author about the poem: This is a reflection of modern man's self destruction with its own mind. It's meaning is, christ suffered the wrath of the world to pay for our sins. The most inhuman part is we get a fork in the road at some point in the journey. The options become clear. The world can and will consume mankind through our minds. Be grateful for the pain.
