Where No Mirrors Are Required
The couple, in the corner
were so intent
on each other, they never
even noticed
that the mirrors were there
and she,
to be fair, ate more than her
lover ate ..
While again in the kitchen,
a stove
and a table, though both
heavily laden,
remained otherwise empty,
barren and bare ..

The idea of a table β feeling βempty .. your writing makes me think of those things being in the background , being β invisible β and uncared for .. they are so intent on each other that nothing else matters to them
Liked your writing )

A slightly swoony poem here?! heehee.

Mirrors on the ceiling? Woof! What would you know about that? Fido asks me. lol.
They never noticed the mirrors...loved that....very well written poem!
they must of had other things on their mind .. thank you for noticing tho' ........ Neville π
A soup kitchen perhaps? β€οΈ
..................... I guess there as well π
Even if you didn't mean it there are definitely two meanings to this one. That's the genius of your mind
I love the open ended finishing... it does not always have to be the full story, a flash at times is good enough to let the mind finish its own... Totally taken by the title as well. Your poetic outlook is remarkable, N. Beautiful one!
I am of course delighted that you came by today Garth & really am grateful for the encouraging comment you have left behind kind sir .. Neville
Brilliant!
(when love triumphs over
those guaranteed losses
as longevity's, curse)
